HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. The Truck Driver will primarily operate flatbed vehicles and ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all road regulations.

Duties

• Operate flatbed lorries for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of oneself and others on the road.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transportation.
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively.
• Ability to manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• A valid commercial driving licence is essential, along with a clean driving record.
