HGV2 Driver

Driving Force Recruitment Ltd operating as an Employment Business are recruiting for Class 2/ HGV2 drivers for our award winning client based in Chepstow. 

 

Job description:

Our client are looking for flexible qualified drivers to deliver tyres to garages and tyre shops with a Class 2 vehicle. Handballing the deliveries off that some destinations will be required - so good manual handling experience will be required. 

This would be Monday - Friday

£14.00 

Up to 11 hour days

 

The Criteria & Benefits:

· Cat C/HGV 2/ LGV 2 Entitlement

· CPC Qualification

· Valid UK Licence

· Digi Card (required)

Work Location: In person- Safely operate a HGV2

- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation.
- Load and unload tyres at the customer depots
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Experience in route driving
